Post of reviews. Hope you enjoy. :D

Starring: Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, William Hurt, Christina Cabot
Directed by: Louis Leterrier
I'm going to be honest: you all know that I'm not a fan of comparing things but when it comes to these types of movies, you can't help but do just that. That being said, I did enjoy this film but for me, it wasn't as wonderful as Iron Man. This movie didn't seem to have the substance that Iron Man did - it was fun, well made, and I enjoyed watching it but there just wasn't the same spark. The action sequences were more frequent, longer, and just bigger than in Iron Man but that doesn't constitute them as better. I thought the action in both films were excellent and that's that.
For me, the acting made this film. I've never been a big fan of the Hulk but this film opened my eyes a bit. Bruce Banner is an interesting superhero - he's like Reed Richards and Peter Parker in that he's just a normal scientist and he's unlike Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark in that he's not some hot-shot billionaire. Yet he's unlike all of them because he doesn't have a choice with his power. Anger is an issue anyone can have and I think this story poses the moral dilemmas of patience vs. anger. Bruce doesn't want to have this in him and I'm not saying he has an anger issue, just that he needs to learn how to control anger period. Of course in real life we're not going to turn into big green monsters simply because we get angry, but it's something to think about metaphorically.
Edward Norton displayed this beautifully. I'm a fan of Norton - not as big as some, but I'd certainly see a film for him. He's further proof that superheroes don't need to be the big buff guys but that they can be cast as real people. Norton is able to play just an average guy with a big problem. He was so human as Bruce Banner and that's what I loved about his performance. Plus, y'know, he's cute.
I did enjoy the rest of the cast but not as much as Norton. I feel like I can't have a proper opinion on Liv Tyler - I'm not really sure why, though. I loved her in Lord of the Rings but haven't seen her in anything since Jersey Girl (which wasn't memorable to begin with). I liked her Betty, honestly, but there were times when I thought she went a bit overboard. How easy can it be dating Bruce Banner, though?
Did anyone else think of King Kong when Betty and Hulk!Bruce were in the cave?
Tim Roth was excellent too but he died down for me about halfway through. In the beginning, I thought he was a great adversary - sly and with no moral dilemmas. Then, after like the third time of, 'OMG I WANT POWER MAKE ME A MONSTER', I was pretty much over him.
Then there was a casting move which will earn the film money just because of it.
OMG ROBERT DOWNEY JR. AS FREAKING TONY STARK!
I knew it was coming and I knew when, but I couldn't control my cheers of delight when he came on screen. And neither could the rest of the theatre, it seemed. It was just...wonderful.
He came in, all Tony Stark like and snarky, and he was beautiful. xD Kay, I'm getting a bit out of hand here, it seems. There was a quip between he and the general about suits and then Tony mentioned a team which we all know means...THE AVENGERS! HUZZAH! Oh, superheroes are taking over my life. I cannot wait for all that's going to come in the future.
THIS WAS TOTALLY THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE FILM. Even if it was only about a minute long. Well, this and Edward Norton.
So yes, Norton and RDJ made the film. The opening sequence was another favourite of mine - I love that Bruce was already infected when it started and how the story was told quickly but effectively. And the tracking number of how many days since a transformation? Brilliant movie.
So, in closing, it was a fun movie with no substance. I enjoyed it immensely and I'd see it again, but at certain times it felt like it was nothing more than good, fun, angsty action.

Recommend this movie to other people?: Definitely, especially if you've been sucked into the world of superheroes. It's a fun movie and that scene at the end is great (but really, see it for the movie in general).
Buy the DVD: Most likely.

Plain and simple: I loved this episode.
It was simple, felt like a one-act play, and completely different from the last two weeks. What I liked about it particularly was that it was real. So a monster isn't going to take over our minds and voices like that, but the concept was real. It reminded me of the Halloween episode of Boy Meets World (OMG I MISS THAT SHOW D:) where they all get stuck in detention and have to face their problems. When humans are forced to interact and work together, the worst of us can be revealed. Like it was with this episode of Who.
Panic set in with the passengers and they began to believe things even if they knew they were lies. It was a feeling of terror and the need to be safe once more. They would accuse anyone of being an enemy simply so they could feel they're doing good and that it might help them to safety. The secondary characters were incredibly strong in this episode, I felt. I particularly liked Jethro. :D
Another frightening aspect of this episode was that the monster did something that the audience has seen in real life: the monster copied voices. As kids, we all used to repeat our parents or friends as an annoying joke, yes? This was just like that which made the episode all the more scary. Not scary like Blink, but scary in that we've seen it in real life.
There was a lack of Donna in this episode and I wasn't as distressed as I thought I would be. Besides, her couple minutes of screen time were awesome. I loved their phone call, and the Doctor casually talking about dinner and all that. Then their hug at the end - no words were spoken, they just hugged. The Doctor and Donna are just right AND I LOVE THEM SO. *squishes*
Now for the flailing/speculation.
OMG DOCTOR - ROSE WAS RIGHT BEHIND YOU. This show just loves to torture us, huh?
Now, everyone remembers the mid-season trailer, yeah? And Donna's lines about Rose coming back being good. Well, I'm still speculating over that. Editing is a magical thing, my friends, and I wouldn't put it past the Who crew to lead us in the complete opposite direction than where they're actually going.
So what if Donna's lines of 'Rose coming back' and 'Isn't that good?' aren't related at all, but are meant to seem like it?
I bring this up because I'm making the same speculation for the trailer of Turn Left. Do we know for certain that Rose's statement of 'You're going to die' has to do with Donna? I mean, did we see Donna next to her when she said that? I can't remember for sure but what I'm getting at, despite all the doomed!Donna foreshadowing, what if this isn't part of it?
*sigh* Oh, Who. You'll be the death of me. BUT I LOVE YOU. AND I WANT MOOOOORE. NEED IT TO BE SATURDAY.
Dear Guy,
You are socially dumb. When the father of the woman you love has died, YOU DO NOT TRY AND MAKE A MOVE ON HER. You do what you had been doing mere moments before: COMFORT HER. If you prove to her that you're not so bad after all, SHE MAY COME AROUND. The smouldering, bad guy-good guy act WILL ONLY WORK FOR SO LONG. Although you did finally get some emotion and rise and fall to your voice when you were talking with Marian. I applaud you for that at least.
*sigh* I say all this and still love you.
From,
Stacie, your loyal fangirl who is both smitten with you and hangs her head in shame sometimes.
PS: All of this said, despite knowing what you do at the end of S2.
This is the one award show where I seem to always be pleased. None of the winners or nominees upset me because they're all wonderful and talented and magical.
I LOVE THE TONY AWARDS SO MUCH OMG.
Whoopi Goldberg was a wonderful host and absolutely cracked me up. I especially loved all of the spoofs (like Spring Awakening!) and her Mary Poppins spiel.
All the new musicals look wonderful.
Cry Baby: We all know the Johnny Depp film and it feels very much like Grease. The dancing in it is absolutely spectacular and I wouldn't mind seeing it one day. It looks like a great, fun, hip musical.
In the Heights: THIS MUSICAL LOOKS SO NEAT. It's very different from all the musicals out there and feels somewhat like West Side Story. The music is unique and upbeat and all the characters each have something special. I definitely want to see this one. This one won Best Musical.
Xanadu: I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK OF THIS ONE. D: It looks cute and all mythology-esque (which you all know I love) but I'm just not sure. Malbertson and I were talking about this one yesterday and we don't know what to make of it. I may see it one day but it's not high on my list.
There's another one I can't remember the name of. xP
We saw pieces of The Little Mermaid (which I'm still very unsure about) and Young Frankenstein (which looks hilarious - yay Mel Brooks and Megan Mullaly!).
There were also the revivals, which South Pacific won for - HUZZAH! I LOVE THIS MUSICAL. Although I still don't like the ending for it. So the guy's French and romantic and has a deep voice - THE SAILOR IS SO MUCH COOLER.
And hey, if it weren't for the Tony's, I wouldn't know that Rufus Sewell is starring in Rock 'N Roll.
So yes, A WONDERFUL YEAR FOR THEATRE.
Plus there was the special RENT performance which, I admit, had me a bit teary. I'm pretty pumped to see Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp next year. :D
