For my own sanity.
[mood| giddy]
[music| Umbridge Spoils A Beautiful Morning//HP: OotP OST]

Comment your likes/dislikes if you'd like (won't alter my decisions) but this is really so I can keep track of books I need/want to read and movies I need want to see.

BOOKS.

EBS = On the EBS list
Own = I own it
Buy = Need to buy it
Borrow = Borrowing from someone
Reread = Read it before; going to re-read it

In no particular order. EBS books are obviously keen since I need them for school which means the other ones will come randomly when I have time throughout the year and over summer.

All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque (Currently Reading) (EBS)
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini (Borrow)
Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe (EBS) (Own)
Alice In Wonderland by Lewis Carrol (EBS) (Reread) (Own)
Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carrol (Reread) (Own)
The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor (Own) (Plan to read after current book) (OMG AMAZING. -drools- I <3 this book alreay.)
Dune by Frank Hebert (EBS) (Buy)
Dune Messiah by Frank Hebert (EBS) (Buy)
Children of Dune by Frank Hebert (EBS) (Buy)
God Emperor of Dune by Frank Hebert (EBS) (Buy)

Atonement by Ian McEwan (Buy) (Maybe some of his other books afterwards)
Me and Mr. Darcy by Alexandra Potter (Buy)
The Patriot by Stephen Molstad (Own)
Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley (Own) (EBS--doubt I'll read it for that, though)
The Book of Earth: Volume 1 in Dragon Quartet by Marjorie B. Kellogg (Own)
The Book of Water: Volume 2 in Dragon Quartet by Marjorie B. Kellogg (Own)
The Book of Fire: Volume 3 in Dragon Quartet by Marjorie B. Kellogg (Buy)
The Book of Air: Volume 4 in Dragon Quartet by Marjorie B. Kellogg (Buy)
The Red Tent by Anita Diamant (Borrow)
Amazing Grace by Eric Mataxas (Own)
The Last Wife of Henry VIII by Carolly Erickson (Buy)
The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory (Buy)
The Virgin's Lover by Philippa Gregory (Buy)
Mr. Darcy Takes A Wife by Linda Berdoll (Buy) (Have mixed feelings on this one)
The New Jedi Order (Next book: Dark Tide I: Onslaught) (Pathetic that I'm only on book two but I've been so busy--I do intend to finish this series and then read more series)

MOVIES.

Order by Release Date.

Two dates mean a limited and wide release date--first date is the limited though I'd see it on the second date since Simi Valley is lame and we don't get limited releases.

3:10 To Yuma (September 7 2007) (Most likely won't be able to see it in theatres which means Netflix)
Across the Universe (September 14/21 2007) (Seeing it this Sunday with Gail)
The Jane Austen Book Club (September 21/28 2007)
Elizabeth: The Golden Age (October 12 2007)
Martian Child (November 2 2007)
August Rush (November 21 2007)
Atonement (December 7 2007)
Penelope (February 1 2008)
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull (May 22 2008) (Gail and I are having an Indiana Jones fest before seeing it)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (November 21 2007)

I think that's it. I'll try and update them as much as possible. Perhaps post it with every other LJ post or so. -shrugs- I'm also always open to suggestions and additions to either of my lists.

By the way, Gail, the best time to see Across the Universe this Friday is at 4:10. -nods-

I need to go take a shower now so I can continue working on my second claim for [info]disney100 and enter the Icon Challenges I haven't entered yet. And then, of course, read.

The Kite Runner is on the EBS list, Mrs. Simpson makes you read it for one of her History classes... that's really good.

Things Fall Apart is disgustingly depressing. Like horrifically disgustingly.

Alice in Wonderland is seriously entertaining. :D

WHERE CAN YOU SEE ACROSS THE UNIVERSE?!

That's initially why I'm reading The Kite Runner but I didn't see it on the EBS list. o_o I look forward to reading it either way.

Yeah, so I've heard, but I have to read it for Mrs. Simpson and it just sounds really intriguing. -nods-

I love Lewis Carrol. That man is a genius and I love his works. :D

We're seeing it at Regal on Friday. It's the wide release so it'll playing here now.

The Dragon Quartet needs to be on EBS before I cut a bitch.

Since you're like the only one who'd even know what I'm talking about, omg. "There! Right There!" is like the best song from a musical EVER in the history of the world. SRSLY. My friend and I listen to it liek mad because it cracks us the fuck up. XD And I thank you for it~ ♥

-giggles- Aw, you're welcome, hun. I figured you'd like it all.

That song is utterly fantastic and it gets me laughing every time as well. I have friends who find it funny but they just crack up when Callahan asks if he's gay...or European? XD

I wouldn't suggest buying all of one series of books unless you read the first one first, then see if you like it. Otherwise, you may find that it's not the series for you and you just blew like 40 or 50 bucks.

4:10 for ATU? Hmm...That should be ok. It runs at 131 minutes, so it should be out by 6:40, allowing 20 minutes of previews ahead of time. That should be fine. And we'll have enough time to get some food and wait in line for seats if there's going to be a mad rush or whatever.

...Hopefully I'm not sick tomorrow.....

I was planning on buying Dune and only buying the rest if I like the first, actually. I just have the rest of them up there to keep track. :D Our minds are connected.

Yup. I'm super excited. Tickets, food, movie! It looks like such an amazing movie and then I'll be seeing The Jane Austen Book Club next week with my mom or you or someone. -shrugs- xD

You better not be sick. -snuggles- I'ma bring you another brownie and you need to recieve it this time! Now go get some rest, ma meillure copine! <3333

Okey dokey then. We're rockin' the ship! Lawlz.

Uhmm... I kinda have bad news. I can't go to the movies tomorrow. My mom won't let me go. I don't know if she thinks that I won't be up to it, or she's worried about the time of the services (which I think start at 7, not 8) or what, but I can't go. D: And I can't go on Saturday either, cos I'll be at services in the morning, then fasting during the day, and either cleaning or getting ready to go to my grandma's house or my aunt's or getting ours ready to break the fast. Sorry.

Maybe we can go on Sunday though?

I will get some rest, ma copine! What does meillure mean?
